Never be scared to try something different

Another productive Friday morning at Ingroup, rounded off by a cracking ten-minute talk from Mike and Ryan of Shire Homes Group.

They took us back to 1994, when the pair packed in their building-site jobs, borrowed a shed on a local farm and built their first timber lodge — then worked out how to sell it.

Three decades on, the group covers renovation and conservation, joinery manufacturing and now civil engineering, with 21 full-time staff.

Their motto: never be scared to try something different.
