Andrew Shares Practical Advice on Damp and Condensation

This week, Andrew from Wilkinsons Decorators gave a really useful 10-minute talk on damp and condensation in the home. He explained how important it is to deal with the cause properly rather than just covering up the signs of a problem. Andrew spoke about the difference between true damp issues and everyday condensation, which is often caused by poor airflow, cold walls or too much moisture building up indoors.

He also brought along some of the products his team uses to help treat problem areas, including specialist paints and liners designed to manage moisture and help prevent mould from returning. It was a practical and informative presentation that sparked plenty of discussion around ventilation, heating and the importance of getting the right advice before starting any remedial work.
