Member’s Spotlight – Penny Millar
Spirited gathering with the highest attendance of 2023 under sleek new leadership – well done, Danny Askew. Penny Millar, of awesomely named PA and virtual assistant company Pink Spaghetti took us through the government’s Access to Work scheme. Offering support up to the tune of £60k, it’s a welcome boost for people with disabilities and health conditions trying to get jobs.
Visitor Craig Dixon, whose daughter Ella was diagnosed as a ‘manifesting carrier’ of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2010, outlined family-run charity Teamella, which has already raised over 80,000 and well on its way to the £100k goal. Themed charity night at Castle Green on March 26 still has available seats.
Stats: attendees 20; referrals 8; quarterly referral count 52; business generated £2,860; quarterly total nearly £49,000.
