Members’ Spotlight – Jim Bracken
At our latest gathering, 22 of us came together, sharing 7 referrals and drumming up over £7,000 for our members – not too shabby for a day’s work! The real cherry on top was Jim Bracken’s 10 minutes. As the brains behind Bracken’s Roofing & Building, he’s shaped a key business across Kendal and the South Lakes, from flat roofs to chimneys.
Jim’s journey kicked off in the ’80s with a leap from landscaping to building a roofing empire. He painted a vivid picture of his early days in Underbarrow, amidst a menagerie of farm life, laying the groundwork for his journey. His story, marked by resilience and a knack for navigating the ever-changing business landscape, resonated with all of us.
Significantly, Jim shared his experience with the evolution of local business networking groups, noting his transition from the original BNI to what has now become the InGroup. Having been a member since its inception, his ongoing participation underscores the importance of community and mutual support in navigating the ups and downs of business.
