Member’s Spotlight – Carer Support South Lakes
Today at the InGroup, Cheryl talked us through what Carer Support South Lakes is all about. This local charity is there for carers, young and old. They use various techniques to get carers chatting about their day-to-day feelings and challenges.
Tracy, who not only helps out as a volunteer but also gets a lot of support from the charity, told us about her own experiences. Through her story, it was clear to see just how much of a difference the charity makes, showing the hard work of its volunteers and the essential help it offers. It was a real eye-opener about the big impact that a bit of understanding and support the charity can have on carers’ lives.
We had 21 members in attendance, and referrals within the group generated over £6,000 in business. A fantastic testament to the strength and collaborative spirit of our network.
