This week, Andrew Wilkinson, who runs a highly successful decorating firm and has a wealth of experience in the industry, brought his expertise to our 10-minute talk. He shared valuable insights into wood repair, focusing on the use of specialist resins to restore rotten wood rather than replacing it entirely.

Andrew explained the step-by-step process, from removing damaged sections and applying bonding agents to shaping and finishing repairs seamlessly. He emphasized the advantages of preserving older, high-quality wood, which is often more durable than modern alternatives. His knowledge and hands-on experience made for an engaging and practical session, offering members useful takeaways for maintaining and restoring woodwork.
