Sandwiches, Stories & a Full House

Today we welcomed 23 members, exchanged 9 referrals, and generated over £9,000 in business. Scott from Lakes Sandwiches brought his usual energy to his 10 minutes, joined by wife and business partner Mel as his glamorous assistant. They shared their journey including their new catering brand, Brandreth Foods.

The highlight was a brilliant game of charity bingo, complete with prizes, puns and plenty of laughter. Members took it surprisingly seriously—eyes down, full focus—with friendly competition adding to the atmosphere. Over £75 was raised for Carer Support South Lakes and Cancer Care, plus scratch-cards and a luxury afternoon tea, were won and donated, reinforcing Scott and Mel’s commitment to giving back to the community. A fun and generous way to round off the meeting.
