I attended the In Group business networking event to talk about the work of South Lakeland Mind. After introducing South Lakeland Mind, and describing our counselling and peer support services and the events, campaigns and training we run, I answered questions from attendees and we discussed how mental health is reported in the media and the state of local mental health services. It was encouraging to hear that local businesses are aware of mental health of an issue and are taking action to address this and I hope that the event will lead to more opportunities for South Lakeland Mind and local businesses to work together.
